What mobile service actually means
Mobile auto glass isn’t a compromise. The glass is the same OEM-spec part we’d use at our shop. The urethane adhesive is the same professional-grade product, applied with the same process. The technician is the same one who works in our Langley bay. What’s different is where we show up.
For a lot of customers, that matters. You’ve got a cracked windshield on a Monday morning. Taking time off to drive to a shop, wait 90 minutes, and drive back is a full half-day. If the damage happened in a break-in overnight, you need glass back in that door before you can move the vehicle safely. Mobile service solves both of those problems. We come to your driveway, your parkade, your office lot, wherever the vehicle is, and handle it there.
What we can and can’t do on-site
The honest answer is: most things. Windshield replacements, rear windshield replacements, and door glass replacements cover the vast majority of auto glass calls we get, and all of them can be done on-site under the right conditions.
The one constraint worth understanding is ADAS calibration. If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera mounted near the rearview mirror (most vehicles built after 2018 do), that camera needs to be re-aimed after a windshield replacement. Calibration requires a level floor, consistent lighting, and room to position precision target boards at exact distances from the vehicle. A covered garage with good overhead lighting often meets those requirements, and when it does, we complete the calibration on-site as part of the same visit. An open driveway in variable light, or a surface with significant slope, typically can’t. When conditions at your location don’t allow it, we do the glass install on-site and schedule a short calibration visit at our Langley shop — usually 45-60 minutes, and it completes the job.
If your vehicle doesn’t have ADAS, the mobile appointment is start-to-finish. You’re back on the road in about 90 minutes.
Site requirements: what you need to prepare
You don’t need much. Here’s what works and what doesn’t.
Works well: A residential driveway, especially one with a garage overhang or covered entry. An underground or covered parkade stall. A covered loading bay at a workplace. A garage with the door open wide enough to work around the vehicle.
Problematic: An open parking lot in heavy rain. A hillside driveway with significant slope. Any surface where the vehicle can’t sit level for the duration of the cure time. Temperatures below roughly 5°C at time of install.
The temperature requirement applies specifically to windshield and back glass installs, where we’re using urethane adhesive that needs to cure properly before the glass is structurally sound. Door glass doesn’t have this issue; it’s a mechanical fit with no adhesive involved, and we can swap it out in cold weather without concern.
If your conditions are borderline, call us. We’d rather schedule around the weather than rush a job and have to redo it.
Service area
Our mobile service covers Langley, Surrey, Cloverdale, Walnut Grove, Willoughby, Aldergrove, Murrayville, Abbotsford, and the surrounding Lower Mainland communities. Most customers in these areas see same-day or next-morning availability. If you’re outside this range, ask anyway. We can often make it work, particularly for ICBC-covered replacements where the glass cost justifies the distance.
Our shop is at 20691 Langley Bypass, Unit 102, Langley, BC. If you’d rather come to us, we’re easy to reach from the Highway 1 corridor and have parking on-site.
ICBC and mobile claims
Being an ICBC Repair Network shop means we manage the claim from our end, whether the job happens at your location or ours. You don’t call ICBC, fill out paperwork, or wait for approval before we start. We verify your coverage, get authorization, do the work, and bill ICBC directly.
Most customers with ICBC Comprehensive coverage pay nothing out of pocket. Glass claims (windshield, back glass, door glass) don’t affect your claims-rated scale. That’s specific to glass: it’s treated differently than a collision claim, and making a claim won’t raise your premiums.
If you’re covered through a private insurer, ask us about direct billing. We work with TAG Network, BCAA Insurance, and Family Insurance Solutions and can often direct-bill those as well.
