Surrey’s neighbours, our neighbours
Surrey is a fifteen-minute drive from our shop on the Langley Bypass, close enough that we know the streets, the construction patterns, the parking realities of every neighbourhood we serve. We’ve replaced windshields in Cloverdale driveways before the morning school run, fitted rear glass on Newton work trucks during lunch breaks, and handled hundreds of ICBC claims for drivers across South Surrey, Whalley, Fleetwood, and beyond.
Surrey drivers come to Snowline for one of three reasons: they want a small shop that handles ICBC paperwork without the runaround, they need same-day service, or they want a mobile technician who’ll come to them. We do all three, and the volume from Surrey is large enough that we have dedicated mobile technicians and vans running Surrey appointments regularly.
What Surrey drivers need most often
Surrey’s road network (Highway 99, Highway 10, the King George corridor, the South Fraser Perimeter Road) sees an enormous amount of gravel-truck traffic. The result is that rock chip damage is more common in Surrey than almost any neighbourhood west of the Fraser. The good news: most chips can be repaired in under 30 minutes, and ICBC Comprehensive coverage typically pays for the repair entirely.
When a chip turns into a crack (usually after a temperature swing, a hard pothole, or just a few days of being ignored), windshield replacement becomes the only option. Glass for common Surrey vehicles is typically available next-day or same-day through our distributors: Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and RAV4, Ford F-150 and Ranger, Dodge Ram, Hyundai Elantra and Tucson, Subaru Outback, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.
For newer vehicles (roughly 2018 and later), we calibrate the ADAS (lane-keep cameras, automatic emergency braking sensors, adaptive cruise) after windshield replacement. This is increasingly required by manufacturer specs and BC liability standards. We do both static and dynamic calibration in-house, so you don’t need a separate appointment somewhere else.
ICBC claims, handled
Most Surrey customers are surprised by how little they have to do. You bring us your driver’s licence and your vehicle. We open the claim, photograph the damage, get authorization from ICBC’s network team, and complete the work, often before you’ve finished a coffee in our waiting area. You sign one document on your way out.
If you have private insurance through TAG, BCAA, Family Insurance, or another provider, we handle those claims too, either via direct billing where supported, or by providing the documentation you need for reimbursement.
Mobile service across Surrey
Our mobile service covers every Surrey neighbourhood. We come to homes, offices, fleet yards, and parking lots. Anywhere with a sheltered space and reasonable access to your vehicle. Mobile is ideal for windshield replacement on most vehicles, all rock chip repairs, and side or back glass replacement.
Two situations require a shop visit: ADAS calibration after windshield replacement (this needs controlled lighting and specific calibration targets), and certain modern vehicles whose windshield bonding cures must happen in temperature-controlled conditions. For those, we can sometimes do the glass install at your location and book a brief follow-up calibration visit to our Langley shop, usually 30–45 minutes.
Why Surrey customers stay
Snowline is owner-operated. The person you speak to on the phone is usually the same person who’ll do your install or hand you your keys. We’re small enough to remember your vehicle, your insurance details, and your preferences, and we’re old enough as a business to have built relationships with most major insurers, glass distributors, and ADAS calibration suppliers in the Lower Mainland.
If you’ve had a frustrating experience with a national chain (billing surprises, schedule changes, or “the technician will call you back” loops that never end), Snowline is the deliberate alternative. Smaller, more accountable, and more interested in being your shop for the next decade than in optimizing your next single transaction.
